Welcome to the Iowa Chess Center
The Iowa Chess Center offers a variety of Chess Enrichment options, from on-campus Scholastic Programs to Summer Camps to Advanced Tutoring Groups.
Contact Info@iowachesscenter.com to arrange a program in your school or district, or to register for advanced tutoring or summer camps.
Each program ranges from
12 to 14 weeks and is taught at your school either before or after regular
school hours. Chess has been shown to improve a child's performance at
school and at home, and also has been shown to elevate test scores in
elementary students. The many benefits of chess make it an outstanding
extracurricular activity for your student. Apart from the on-school
courses, individual lessons, advanced group training, and competitive
tournaments are also offered by the Iowa Chess Center on a regular basis.

A
study at the Roberto Clemente School in New York showed that chess not
